Export Activity Quantity by Period - Exporting Job Project Activity Quantities Made Simple

Job Projects > Job Projects > Job Project inquiry > Export Activity Quantity by Period

Export Activity Quantity by Period Overview

The SapphireOne Export Activity Quantity by Period tool enables the user to export Job Project Activity quantities on a period by period basis. If the SapphireOne user has created a Job Project in which the costs and income has been tracked or calculated for a particular activity, they can then export all information and data for that specific Job Project into the single detailed report.

It is exported as a CSV file and if a spreadsheet application is installed on the local machine, SapphireOne will then open it and display the exported file. The SapphireOne user will note that it is exactly the same as a file created and ready for importing into SapphireOne using the API II Gateway program.

It should also be noted that there is no gateway export function using %PQB, as this particular export function has been completely automated. You will note that the syntax #PQB has already been entered into the first column enabling SapphireOne to read it into the database.

Once the file has had all data entered it should be saved as a tab delineated text file and the API II Gateway function used to import it as normal with the normal functionality and rules applying. This export function will draw data from both the Activity and Qty By Period Tabs.

Export Activity Quantity by Period Usage

However, for this Export Activity Quantity by Period tool to work correctly, the  checkbox must be selected for all activities that are to be in the exported file before executing it.
The user will find these activities on the Planning & Quote page of a Job Project Inquiry.

It is then exported as a CSV file and if a spreadsheet application is installed on the local machine, SapphireOne will then open it and display the exported file as seen below.

Once the required quantities have been entered into the spreadsheet and saved as a tab delineated text file it may be imported back into the data file using the A.P.I II Gateway function.
