Utilise Job Projects Dashboards

The user should be aware that dashboards in SapphireOne fall into two categories:

  1. System Dashboards – These are pre-configured dashboards hard-wired into the system. They require minimal data entry and display many of the most commonly requested features.
  2. User-Created Dashboards – These are custom dashboards built by users. They require additional data entry and configuration to suit specific reporting or visualisation needs.

The Dashboards feature in SapphireOne provides a visual representation of Job Project data, delivering valuable insights into project performance and key metrics. This functionality is essential for fast analysis and informed decision-making. Follow the steps below to utilise this feature effectively:

Pre-Configured Dashboards

  • Navigation – Go to Job Projects > Job Projects > Report and then select the Dashboard item. SapphireOne will display the Select Dashboard list screen, allowing the user to make their selection from currently 5 dashboards as needed.
    • Data Entry – Minimal input is required. Select options as needed.
    • Reviewing – Examine the visual data representations, including charts and graphs.
    • Analysis – Assess key metrics and performance indicators for insights into project status. Dashboard:

User Created Dashboards

User-created dashboards are configured manually and allow for customised reporting and visualisation. To create one:

  • Navigation – Go to the Reports menu located directly to the left of the green phone icon on the main toolbar.
    • Click on the Reports icon, navigate to the Dashboards menu, and select New Dashboard.
    • SapphireOne will display the Dashboard Settings screen, ready for data entry.
  • Dashboard Settings – This screen includes multiple data entry points, all of which require user input to define the layout, data sources, and visual elements of the dashboard.
