Creating an Order Build Journal

The Order Build Journal is used to record the assembly of products from raw materials, ensuring accurate tracking of inventory used in production.

This lesson necessitates an already existing Bill of Materials. The SapphireOne Bondi Blue test file contains multiple examples. KITPACK~0. The Bill of Materials lesson is a separate unit within the SapphireOne Implementation training course.

The steps are as follows:

  1. Navigate to Inventory > Inventory > Data Entry and select the Order Build Journal item.
  2. In the Master Build Lines area, use the green + button or the Command / key combination, to enter the Master Build Lines area for this built item.
    • Input the Inventory ID for the finished product and then the Quantity required. This will update the Build Lines area quantities for each Inventory Item in the build.
  3. The Build Lines area lists the Raw Materials used, including their Inventory IDs and Quantities.
  4. In the Tracking area enter the Order ID, Build Date and other items as required.
  5. Save the entry by clicking the green tick on the main toolbar.
