Creating a Build Journal

The Build Journal is used to document the production of goods, ensuring that all components and finished products are accurately recorded in the inventory.

This lesson necessitates an already existing Bill of Materials. The SapphireOne Bondi Blue test file contains multiple examples. The Bill of Materials lesson is a separate unit within the SapphireOne Implementation training course.

The steps are as follows:

  1. Navigate to Inventory > Inventory > Build Journal.
  2. Add a new line using the green ‘+’ button in the Master Build Lines area.
  3. Enter the Build ID and Build Date.
  4. Input the Inventory ID for the finished product and the Quantity. This will update the build lines area.
  5. List the Raw Materials used, including their Inventory IDs and Quantities.
  6. Save the entry.
