The Sales Disposal Journal is used to record the sale or disposal of an asset, ensuring that your asset records and financial statements are up-to-date. The steps are as follows:
- Navigate to Assets > Assets > Sales Disposal Journal.
- Enter the exact Asset ID or use the “@” or “?” wildcards to search for the correct ID.
- Fill in Disposal Details:
- Date – Enter the date of the disposal transaction.
- Period – SapphireOne will auto-fill the current period, but you can alter it if necessary.
- Sale Amount – Enter the amount for which the asset was sold.
- Tax Code – Enter the applicable tax code.
- Tax Rate – The tax rate will be displayed based on the entered tax code.
- Review all entered details for accuracy.
- Click Save to record the Sales Disposal Journal.
