Generate Trial Balance, Income Statement, and Balance Sheet Reports

Generating financial reports, such as the Trial Balance, Income Statement, and Balance Sheet, is essential for understanding your organisation’s financial health. It is important to note that the Options button from the print dialog alert allows users to establish specific criteria for the generation of these reports.

Steps for Generating a PDF

  1. Navigate to Accounts > General Ledger > Report and then select the Standard Financials item. SapphireOne will display the General Ledger Reports print dialog alert.
  2. From the Report Type menu choose the desired report type (Trial Balance, Income Statement, or Balance Sheet).
  3. From the Report Details menu select as required.
  4. Next click the Options button to open the Select Report Control screen.
  5. Choose the period(s) and any other relevant options for the report.
  6. Click the OK button to return to the General Ledger Reports screen.
  7. Without making any further changes to the Print Dialog alert screen, select the Print button.
  8. The print dialog will be displayed, enabling the user to generate the report in a number of formats.

Steps for Generating a CSV file

  1. Navigate to Accounts > General Ledger > Report and then select the Export Financials item. SapphireOne will display the General Ledger Reports print dialog alert.
  2. For the Report Type option so choose the required report type, (Trial Balance, Income Statement, or Balance Sheet).
  3. From the Report Details menu select as required.
  4. Click the Options button to open the Select Report Control screen.
  5. Choose the period(s) and any other relevant options for the report.
  6. Click the OK button to return to the General Ledger Reports screen.
  7. Without making any further changes to the Print Dialog screen, select the Print button.
  8. The default spreadsheet program will be activated and will display the generated CSV file.
  9. Save the report in any desired format however the default format is to generate a CSV file.
