Accounts Movements - Stay on Top of GL Class Type Changes

Accounts Movements Overview

The Accounts Movements function within SapphireOne Management Mode allows the user to view up to six periods of the General Ledger summarised into GL Class Types. Within the screen each area of your Ledgers is shown with the changes that have occurred through each period.

This page also displays four ratio calculations which include Gross Profit, Net Profit, Asset Turnover and Current Ratio.

  • The formulas for each tab are as follows:
    • Gross Profit = Gross Profit / Income.
    • Net Profit = Net Profit / Income.
    • Asset Turnover = Income / Total Assets.
    • Current Ratio = Current Assets + Bank Assets / Current Liabilities + Bank Overdraft.
  • There are four buttons across the bottom of the screen and these are used as follows:
    • Export – This button allows the figures to be exported from SapphireOne as a tab-delimited text file, which can then be imported into another program for purposes such as creating specifically formatted reports.
    • Print – This button enables you to print the report directly, with the printer dialog alert automatically displayed for your selected platform, whether it’s MacOS or Windows.
    • Period – When this button is selected, SapphireOne will display a Request alert asking for the Period up to which the analysis should be conducted. Enter the required period and select the OK button.
    • OK – When This button is selected the Accounts Movements screen will be closed.
