John founded what is known today as SapphireOne in 1979, initially operating out of the Tekapo building in Timaru, New Zealand. In 1982, he immigrated to Australia and continued to grow the business there.
During the early ’80s, John started to develop an application focused on ERP business management accounting software, which came to be known as Sapphire. We released our first version in 1986. Since then, we have continually updated SapphireOne to offer world-class functionality.
Thank you for your continued support and interest in SapphireOne.
From the very beginning, John had a vision to develop an application that would be platform independent, and this vision remains true to this day. SapphireOne can be deployed concurrently on both Apple OS and Microsoft Windows OS, a concept that was envisaged from Version One and has remained steadfast. In the early 2000s, we developed the HTML web pack WebServer, which is built into the SapphireOne application. This innovation allows users to import data through their browser on the desktop or through their iOS or Android-based devices.
As the founding CEO, John Adams has played a crucial role in the day-to-day operational functions of SapphireOne and continues to do so. John resides in Bondi Beach and his office is conveniently located nearby. He is married and has one son.
We take pride in our history and the commitment to providing a reliable and versatile application that meets the evolving needs of our clients.
